PURPOSE:To easily measure a performance parameter in an environment wherein an information processor is actually in operation and to collect a large amount of data continuously by providing a conventional information history memory device additionally with a reference signal counting means, counting means for signals to be measured, and an information storage means. CONSTITUTION:The reference signal counting means 1 which inputs a reference signal 111 from the information processor, means 121-124 which input signals 121-124 to be measured, and the information history storage means 3 connected thereto are included. The information history storage means 3 is stored with the number of cache miss bits, the number of times of a TLB mishit, and the number of times of execution of an instruction A. The contents of the information history storage means 3 are all read out by a readout means 8 to obtain performance measurement information and the read data is all written in the information storage means 15. When the writing to the information storage means 15 is completed, an update request means 9 sends out a request to start update. Consequently, data are collected continuously. |
