PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption, by driving a starter to start an engine, if a speed change lever is placed in the first speed shift position, while turning off a switch, which can be spread to open by action of centrifugal force, to stop the engine if a vehicle is stopped. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is stopped, a speed change lever 25 is placed in a neutral position, and if the speed change lever 25 is moved to the first speed shift position I, circuits A, O are connected by a tumbler switch 2. While a press-in switch 4 is turned on, closing a starter system line, and the engine E is started by actuating a starter S. A weight member 15, provided in a spring strip 13, is spread to open by rotating the engine E, and if a round shaft 11 is pulled rightward, the circuits A, O are connected in terminals 22', 24 by a switch lever 22. Thereafter, while a vehicle is in running, if the vehicle is stopped by placing the speed change lever 25, for instance, in the second speed shift position II from the first speed shift position I, the engine E comes to be immediately stopped by turning off the terminals 22', 24.
