The method is intended for drawing yarn off a bobbin in a weaving loom via a yarn guide eye etc. The distance (L) between the guide and the bobbin is automatically controlled during weaving, either directly as a function of the (measured) yarn tension or indirectly as a function of the tension, i.e. of the optimum tension which is itself a (known) function of the varying (measured) bobbin diameter.
