PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly, and to improve heat resistance and electric contacting properties by holding, contact-bonding and fixing a low-temperature side end section in a thermoelectric generating element by the upper plate and bottom plate, which are mutually brought into contact thermally, of a heat dissipating case under the state in which the low-temperature side end section is placed. CONSTITUTION:The titled generator consists of a heat-dissipating case 1 made of stainless with an upper plate 1a and a T-shaped bottom plate 1b, a radiator plate 3 composed of an alumina ceramic plate, which has two electrode wiring patterns 2 consisting of copper thick films, are brought into surface-contact with the bottom plate 1b and takes the same shape as the bottom plate 1b, and a U-shaped iron silicide thermoelectric generating element 4, which is coated with a copper film 4c at a predetermined position on the electrode wiring patterns 2 on the radiator plate 3 and made up of low-temperature side end sections 4a, 4b. The thermoelectric generating element 4 is held, contact-bonded and fastened by the upper plate 1a and bottom plate 1b of the heat-dissipating case under the state in which the low-temperature side end sections 4a, 4b in the thermoelectric generating element 4 are placed, the whole is heated, and a conductive film and the wiring patterns 2 are fused. Accordingly, assembly is facilitated, and electrical contacting properties are improved, thus enhancing reliability.
