PURPOSE:To enable utilization of a balloon as a lifesaving signal, by a method wherein a device, filling with gas being ligher than air, is contained in the balloon, and gas can be exhausted from the device, where necessary, to float the balloon. CONSTITUTION:A balloon 1 is formed by a material being so light as to be convenient for carrying, and a material, reflecting illuminating light, is coated on the surface of the balloon. A device 2, capable of exhausting gas being lighter than air, is contained in the balloon 1, and the device is so constituted as to allow operation through pull of a string 3.
