PURPOSE:To relieve a labour burden, by a method wherein a movable bed seat is placed to the top part of a table lifter, and an expandable arm is attached to the bed seat. CONSTITUTION:When wedge fastening takes place, a wedge fastener is caused to self-run and is stopped in the front of a wedge 20. In which case, a side brake 9 in first pulled to bring the wedge fastener into a fixed state. Secondly, through movement of the lever of a manually-operated pump 4, a table lift 1 is raised, and the height of a wedge fastening hammer 13 is adjusted to that of the wedge 20. Thereafter, an expandable arm 14 is pulled out to insert coupling insertion pins 15 and 16, and with an air cylinder 12 operated, the hammer surface of the wedge fastenin hammer 13 is forced into contact with the wedge 20. An arm rotary lever 18 is forced to fall down, and after an L-shaped metal 17 is caused to embrace the tip of a launching block 21, hammering by the wedge fastening hammer 13 is started. After comppletion of hammering, the wedge fastener is returned to its original state by reversing the precedures, and is moved to a subsequent wedge.
