PURPOSE:To keep off the generation of heat in a cross arm at the time of high frequency horizontal scanning, by installing a magnetic transfer part of the cross arm added to a deflecting yoke in a spot apart from winding at a front end part of a horizontal deflecting coil being opposed to the transfer part as far as the specified distance. CONSTITUTION:A deflecting yoke 35 of a color picture tube is formed with a saddle type horizontal deflecting coil 31, a toroidal type vertical deflecting coil, and a pair of cross arms 34 consisting of a magnetic coupling part 34a, a magnetic transfer part 34b and a magnetic emission part 34c and compensating pincushion deformation of an image. At this time, the magnetic transfer part 34b is set up apart as far as more than 1/2 of a mean diameter of winding at a front end part 21a, in all directions, from the front end part 31a of the horizontal deflecting coil 31 to be opposed to the transfer part. With this constitution, influence of a horizontal deflecting magnetic field to the magnetic transfer part 34b is reduced, and even at the time of high frequency horizontal scanning, heat in these cross arms 34 is prevented from generating and reliability is thus maintainable.
