PURPOSE:To miniaturize the whole player by having the pinching plate driving means which drives a pinching plate together with the pinched disc in the direction parallel to the disc bearing face of a turntable. CONSTITUTION:The 1st disc moving means which projects a disc 5 outside the magazine 3 of a disc holder by moving in the parallel direction to the disc bearing face 8a of a turntable 8, has the pinching plate 15 for pinching the main face of the disc 5 by being provided freely movably in the parallel direction to the disc bearing face 8a of a turntable 8 and the pinching plate driving means which is composed of the motor 20, etc., which drives the pinching plate 15 together with the pinched disc 5 in the parallel direction to the disc bearing face 8 of the turntable 8 in order to project the disc 5 from the magazine 3 of the disc holder. Due to the disc 5 being held by the pinching plate 15, the occupied space is less and the whole player can be miniaturized.
