摘要 PURPOSE:To improve engine performance, by calculating the optimum injection timing in accordance with each detection result of an engine speed, in-cylinder pressure and an operative condition in a part, considered to be problematic in the strength of an engine, so as to increase the maximum pressure in a cylinder when the engine is partly loaded. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device, which changes the valve opening timing of a spill valve in a fuel injection pump 6 by a computer 4 in a control unit 7 on the basis of a signal from an engine speed detector 1, adjusts fuel injection timing (quantity). Here the computer 4 inputs each detection signal of an in- cylinder pressure detector 3, mounted to the upper part of a cylinder, and an action condition detector 2 in a part, considered to be problematic in the strength of an engine, in addition to engine speed input data. The action condition detector 2 uses, for instance, a thermocouple embedded in a bearing to measure its temperature. And on the basis of output signals from the three detectors 1-3, the device calculates the injection timing such that the maximum pressure in a cylinder is obtained especially when the engine is partly loaded.
