PURPOSE:To eliminate backlash between teeth by connecting a hub and a holding member so that a repulsive torque is produced between the teeth. CONSTITUTION:A gear transmission device consists of a casing 11, a 1st transmission shaft 21, a 2nd transmission shaft 23, a hub 31, a holding member 41, a spring seat 55, and a spring 61. A coil spring 61, inserted between spring seats 55 having paired spring seat surfaces 57's facing each other, is fitted to a columnar projection 58 so that the spring 61 does not come off. Here, since the coil spring is compressed, a holding member 41 and a hub 31 are displaced from each other in the circumferential directions to produce a repulsive torque of a required magnitude between the two parts. Under a condition where a 1st through a 4th gears 27, 29, 37 and 39 engage with each other, backlash can be eliminated from between the teeth. |
