PURPOSE:To enable the shock of gear shift on a driver to be improved by providing the No.2 clutch between an engine and a non-continuously variable transmission, and then controlling the torque transmission of the No.2 clutch such that the rotating speed of an engine is caused to approach a speed to be attained after the gear shifting. CONSTITUTION:Between the crankshaft 16 of an engine 10 and the input shaft 18 of a non-continuously variable transmission 14 are provided in parallel both the No.1 clutch 22 and the No.2 clutch 24, and then, the No.2 clutch 24 is controlled to be in a partially engaged state so that the torque transmission can be obtained sufficiently to cause the rotating speed of the engine 10 to approach a speed to be attained after the gear shifting. Hereby, the synchronous operating time of a synchro-mesh is shortened, and accordingly, the shock of gear shift on a driver can be improved. |
