PURPOSE:To improve sealing property of beads along the circumferences of water holes and oil holes by using as facial plates of a gasket having water holes and oil holes metal plates coated with thin, compressible material layers made of compressible fibers and elastomer. CONSTITUTION:A gasket body 21 is formed with facial plates 23 and 24 joined to both surfaces of a steel core plate 22, with each of the facial plates 23 and 24 being formed with an thin, compressible material layer 23b made of compressible fibers such as asbestos and elastomer such as rubber coated over both surfaces of thin steel plates 23a and 24a. With this constitution, since it is made possible to form beads 32 and 33 along the circumferences of water holes 29 and oil holes 30 on the steel plates 23a and 24a, and since the steel plates 23a and 24a are thin, the beads 32 and 33 can be given a high compressibility to improve the sealing property of the corresponding parts.
