<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operatability of a vehicle by enabling through a manual operation, a non-continuously variable transmission to be selected in whichever operating condition of the two: one, where it is operated under the automatic switching to and from the high-speed side and low-speed side gear stages, and the other, where it is held at the high-speed side gear stage. CONSTITUTION:To an electronic control device 330 are input signals from a throttle sensor 290, a rotation sensor 292 for an input shaft 26, and a rotation sensor 294 for an output shaft 34. In addition, signals from a position sensor 298 for a shift lever 95 are also input to said control device 330 so that an operating condition, where a non-continuously variable transmission 14 is held at its high-speed side gear stage, and another operating condition, where the transmission 14 is automatically switched to its high-speed side gear stage or its low-speed side gear stage according to the vehicle running conditions, can be selected by way of a manual operation. Hereby, when the power output for a vehicle is required, the transmission 14 can be automatically switched to its low-speed side gear stage by way of a manual operation, and accordingly, a sufficient power efficiency can be provided to improve the operatability of the vehicle.</p> |
