PURPOSE:To reduce the size and price of a printer by providing a transfer metrical to be moved between a toner carrier and an electrode material at the same moving speed as that of the toner carrier and fixing toner mechanically and thermally. CONSTITUTION:The printer is constituted of the toner carrier 4 obtained by laminating a transparent conductive layer 2 and a photoconductive layer on a transparent supporting body 1, a toner feeding part 6 for carrying and sticking anisotropic conductive toner with low resistance to the surface of the photoconductive layer 3 only one axial direction when the 1st bias voltage is impressed to the transparent conductive layer 2, an exposing part 13 for selectively irradiating the toner carrier 4 to which toner is uniformly stuck from the transparent supporting body side, the electrode material 20 opposed to the photoconductive layer at the irradiation part and receiving the 2nd bias voltage having the same polarity as the 1st bias voltage, the transfer material to be moved between the toner carrier and the electrode material at the same moving speed as the that of the toner carrier, and the fixing part 21 for mechanically and thermally fixing the toner transferred to the surface of the transfer material. Consequently, the size-reduced and inexpensive printer can be obtained.
