<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a fine image quality from the image signals of a polar coordinate display by making orthogonal coordinate sampling positions correspond to the addresses of memory means, comparing corresponding pixel data with one another at every rotating period of the polar coordinate display and storing larger one. CONSTITUTION:Image signals received by the antenna of a radar instrument are sampled corresponding to polar coordinate sampling points and inputted to the common contact 10A of a switching circuit 10. First data are stored in a memory 12 via a contact 14B. The data inputted at every revolution of the antenna are compared with the data stored in a memory by an input disagreement detecting circuit and, when a disagreement is detected, the magnitudes of both the data are compared with each other by a comparator 16. The larger data are stored in the memory 12 by another switching circuit 14. Image data representing the maximum value read out from the memory 12 are inputted to a display and a display by means of orthogonal coordinates is conducted.</p> |
