PURPOSE:To prevent an error caused by the delay in a confirming signal from a facsimile device by providing a dummy response transmitting means transmitting dummy response to an electronic computer when picture information to the facsimile device is being transmitted. CONSTITUTION:A receiving circuit 1 receives a data transmitted from an electronic computer and an interface opening control section 2 receives an opening notice from the electronic computer to control a transmission circuit 3 and a timer 4. When the timer 4 receives a notice that the opening notice is received from the control section 2, the processing state of a data processing circuit 6 is checked and when the data processing circuit 6 transmits picture information even after a prescribed time is elapsed after the opening notice is received, a dummy response is transmitted to the transmission circuit 3. A page processing circuit 5 transmits the page processing notice coming from the electronic computer to the facsimile device and transmits the confirming signal from the facsimile device to the electronic computer via the circuit 3 as a response signal. |
