PURPOSE:To measure the deformation distribution of the whole body as well as partial deformation by irradiating the body to be tested with X rays when the body to be tested is loaded and deforms, and calculating the distribution state, etc., of strain on an X-ray photograph. CONSTITUTION:Small lead beads 2 are checkerboarded and stuck on one surface of the body 1 of concrete 1 to be tested and a load adding device 6 places a load on the object body 1, which deforms. At this time, the object body 1 is irradiated with X-rays from an X-ray source 3 to photograph the respective small lead beads 2 on an X-ray film 4 one after another to calculate the distribution state, etc., of strain on the basis of phase variation of respective small lead bead images on obtained respective X-ray photographs and also measure its progress state from a cracking image 9 on each X-ray photograph.
