PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of excavation by mounting an approximately right triangular comb-tooth-shaped auxiliary edge to the side surface of a bucket of a back hoe and excavating viscous soil in a method of construction in which a side-ditch, which consists of viscous soil and a section of which takes an approximately trapezoid, is excavated. CONSTITUTION:Comb-tooth-shaped auxiliary edges 22, 22 are fitted to both side surfaces of a bucket 20 installed at the nose of an arm 12 of a back hoe 10. The edges 22 are constituted so that comb-teeth juxtaposed in the lateral direction are formed to an approximately right triangular shape and an excavation section takes an approximately trapezoid when the edges 22 are set up to both side surfaces of the bucket 20. The edges 22 are fitted to the side surfaces of the bucket 20 through gas welding, and the back hoe 10 is positioned at the center of a side-ditch 15 and soil is excavated. Accordingly, the side-ditch 15 with the approximately trapezoid-shaped section can simply be excavated efficiently.
