PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum constitution of the optical head to be able to execute the high definition by dividing the information recording and being composedof two optical heads to mutually and independently record and reproduce the inner circumferential part and the outer circumferential part. CONSTITUTION:A center hole 2 to fix and hold an optical disk 1 is provided, at the inner peripheral part, the first information recording area 3 is equipped and at the outer peripheral part through a border area 5, the second information recording area 4 is equipped. At the first information recording area 3 and the second information recording area 4, the first and second optical heads 20 and 24 are provided which are respectively independent. At the first information recording area 3, the color difference signal, which is a low frequency band in the image signal, is recorded and reproduced by the first optical head 20, and at the second information recording area 4, the luminance signal, which is the high frequency band in the image signal, is recorded and reproduced by the second optical head 24. Thus, the characteristics of the inner peripheral part and the outer peripheral part of the optical disk 1 are effectively used, the image signal is divided, the recording and reproducing are executed, thereby executing the high definition of the image signal. |
