PURPOSE:To join a Pt electrode lead without damaging a Pt electrode by forming a Ti film covering both an Ni protection film and an electrolyte zirconia formed at a Pt electrode lead-out part. CONSTITUTION:The Pt electrode lead-out part of an electrolyte zirconia ceramics substrate 1 plated with the Pt electrode 2 is plated by Ni strike plating 3. Then, paste 4 formed by mixing Ti powder with a binder obtained by adding 5% ethyl cellulose is printed covering both the Ni film 3 and substrate 1, and dried and caked at about 150 deg.C. Further, paste of silver brazing filler metal powder 5 and the Pt electrode lead 6 of Ni are arranged thereupon, heated in an N2-10% H2 atmosphere up to 950 deg.C at a 200 deg.C/min heating speed and held for 10sec, and cooled naturally. Consequently, the Ti powder 4 and silver brazing filler metal powder 5 are fused completely into alloy 7 to join the substrate and electrode lead 6 together. |
