摘要

PURPOSE:To utilize the effect of paraelectric anisotropy to make it possible even for a thick cell to have a memory effect, by using a liquid crystal composition which contains compounds having a specified structural formula and has negative dielectric anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal composition which contains at least one of compounds shown by the formula (wherein X is Cl, CN or F; n is 6-10) and has negative dielectric anisotropy. The content of the above compounds is preferably 10-50mol%.
