发明名称 INK MIST IMAGE RECORDER
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable density modulation and half-tone recording to be performed without changing a dot area by transmitting ultrasound energy to a focusing means, generating a high density ink mist stream through transmission of the energy into an ink layer using an ultrasound vibration needle and allowing the stream to be absorbed statically onto a recording medium through charging. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasound vibrator 101 is driven by a signal source 116. A generated ultrasound energy is transmitted through ultrasound vibration needles 104a-104e as a compression wave, and its tip serves as a vibration base. The head of the ultrasound vibration needle is fixed by an acoustic rubber 109 approx. 100mu in a liquid from a liquid level on the nozzle side of an ink layer 105. Further, to keep an interval between the vibration needle head and the surface of the ink layer 105 constant always, a recording ink layer retaining means is employed. The ink mist is charged positively by applying a voltage to a charged electrode 124. In addition, a voltage is applied to control electrodes 106a-106b, thereby generating an electric line of force which runs from the control electrodes to a back electrode 113. Thus a charged ink mist can be absorbed onto a recording medium.
