PURPOSE:To improve the fixability and offset resistance of a toner for heat roll fixing by using a vinyl copolymer obtd. by bringing a vinyl monomer contg. a monomer having an electron withdrawing group as an essential component and acetylated epoxy (meth)acrylate resin into reaction as a binder. CONSTITUTION:The acetylated epoxy (meth)acrylate resin is obtd. by acetylating the whole or part of the secondary hydroxyl group of an epoxy acrylate or epoxy methacrylate obtd. by bringing an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid into reaction with the whole or part of the epoxy group of an epoxy resin having at least one epoxy group, is highly flexible and has a low melt viscosity and therefore, said resin improves the fixability of the toner remarkably. The mol.wt. of the polymer is increased and the mol.wt. distribution is widened by copolymerizing the vinyl monomer contg. the monomer having the electron withdrawing group as the essential component, by which the generation of the offset onto a heat roll is obviated and the resin having the good fixability is obtd. |
