MULTIPLEX TRANSMISSION CONTROL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To facilitate the diagnosis whether or not a controller mounted on an automobile is normal by comparing diagnosis information sent at first with diagnostic information sent back from the controller. CONSTITUTION:A controller 2 connected to a controller 1 via a multiplex trans mission line 5 generates diagnostic information having specific 1, 0 pattern in response to a diagnostic mode command signal given, e.g., externally and sends the diagnostic information to the controller 1 via a multiplex transmission line 5. After a CPU 11 of the controller 1 applies operation processing to the diagnostic information and sends th result via an I/O port 12 or receives it. The CPU 1 applied the operation processing to the received diagnostic signal and sends the result to the controller 2 via a multiplex communication I/O port 13, a photoelectric conversion section 14 and the transmission line 5 again. The CPU 21 of the controller 2 compares the returned diagnostic information with the first diagnostic information to discriminate whether or not the opera tion of the controller 1 is normal and to display the result. The remote diagnos tic of the controller 1 is applied by a series of operations as above.
