PURPOSE:To enable the titled mold to obtain plastic optical parts having favorable optical properties, by a method wherein a stationary side and movable side cores are formed of ceramics whose heat conductivity is favorable and the constituent surface of a cavity is formed of a metallic layer. CONSTITUTION:Nickel Ni coating layers 9, 10 to the thickness of about 30mum are clad to cavities 4, 6 of cores 5, 7 obtained by molding a ceramic powdery material into a core-like state. These Ni coating layers are manufactured by applying mirror finish to them by performing cutting off processing through diamond cutting by making use of liberated abrasive grains so that surface roughness becomes 1/1000-3/1000mumRmax after they have been clad to the thickness of about 100mum through electroless plating. This old has a high heat conductivity, a uniform cooling speed and a small difference in volume shrinkage of molten resin; therefore, generation of a molding defect can be prevented. Then cooling and curing period of time is shorten by more than 30% and production efficiency is improved also. |
