PURPOSE:To prevent foreign matters from penetrating a display area at a liquid crystal charging time to improve the reliability by dispersing spacers with a high density near a sealing agent, which seals a charging hole of a liquid crystal, to give the effect of a filter to them. CONSTITUTION:Though an adhesive 5 between the first and second substrates 1 and 2 is opened in a part to be the charging hole of the liquid crystal before charging of the liquid crystal, this part is sealed with a sealing agent 6 after charging. The dispersion state of spacers 8 in an area 22 near the sealing agent 6 which does not include a display part range 21 is different from that the other inner area 23. A liquid where spacers 8 are mixed in an organic solvent of high vaporability is sprayed and is stuck to the first and second substrates 1 and 2, and the dispersion density of spacers 8 is controlled by the spray time. When the liquid crystal is charged, foreign matters dispersed in a liquid crystal tank reach the area 22 through the charging hole together with the charging hole, but spacers in the area 22 function as the filter which stops foreign matters because the density of spacers 8 in the area 22 is higher than that in the area 23. |
