The device, made in one piece from plastic material, is constituted by three successive flaps 8, 9, 10 connected to each other by flexible parts 11, 12 forming hinges. The open edge of the bag is clamped between the flaps 8 and 9 folded one upon the other, the tips 13 carried by the flap 8 traversing openings formed in the sides of the bag and slots 17 in the flap 9. The flap 20 is folded down on the flap 9 and the device is locked by engagement of the tabs 19 of the flap 20 in openings in the protruding ends of the tips 13. The tamper-proofing is ensured by the passage of a seal through superimposed openings 14, 18, 21 of the flaps 8, 9, 10 and through openings formed in the sides of the bag. The device applies to the tamper-proof closing of bags for the transportation of money or valuables. <IMAGE>
