PURPOSE:To stably repaint a metallic can in prescribed width and in desired thickness by coating a liq. paint in a nonatomized spray pattern on the surface to be repainted with use of an airless spray nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a material 6 to be repainted is coated with the liq. paint in the nonatomized spray pattern 5a by using the airless spray nozzle 1. In this case, a liq. paint having 10-100sec viscosity (Ford cup No.4 at 25 deg.C) is used, an airless spray nozzle having 8-300cc/min discharge is used, and coating is preferably carried out at <=60kg/cm<2> delivery pressure. Consequently, the surface to be repainted can be stably coated in prescribed width an in desired film thickness, and excellent repainting can be performed without any splash of paint since the paint is not atomized.
