PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of equipment and to simplify the equipment with only one work transfer machine by providing a work hanging and transferring function to a coating robot and transferring a work by the robot from a carrying-in position to a coating position. CONSTITUTION:The work conveying direction of a work carrying-in conveyor 1 and that of a work taking-out conveyor 2 are shifted from each other to a phase of about 90 deg., a coating position B is provided between a work taking- out position C and a work carrying-in position A, and the coating position B and the taking-out position C are placed in a straight line almost vertical to the conveying direction of the conveyor 2. A work hanging and transferring function is provided to the coating robot 9, a movable arm 14 is turned to the carrying-in position A and extended to hang up a work by the hanging member, and the work is transferred to the coating position B. The coated work is transferred to the taking-out position C by the work transfer machine 24. Only one work transfer machine is thus used, and the cost of equipment is reduced.
