PURPOSE:To eliminate cogging torque and stabilize propulsive torque by forming an armature core into a closed loop. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic actuator is constituted by a pair of magnetic path plates 13, which support four permanent magnets 12 and are fixed coaxially so as to make the two pairs of the permanent magnets 12 face each other at an interval along the axial direction of a driving shaft 11, and an armature core 15, which is made of soft iron and on which toroidal coils 14 are wound and which is supported between the respective magnetic path plates 13 by the driving shaft 11 so as to be rotated freely. A stator 16 is composed of the permanent magnets 12 and the magnetic path plates 13 and an armature 17 is composed of the coils 14 and the armature core 15. As the armature core 15 is formed into a closed loop and no independent pole is formed in the armature core 15, cogging torque can be prevented.
