A spinning system possesses, for the production of monofilament threads, a spinning tool (40) and a polymer-channel portion (4') for a polymer melt (2). The polymer-channel portion (4') widens in width, in a channel part (41, 42) of the spinning tool (40), into a flow channel (43) which is designed as a flat-iron channel and to which is connected a nozzle block (59) enclosed over its width on two sides by clamping plates (52, 53) which surround the nozzle block (59) on a third side perpendicular to the two sides and press it against the channel part (41, 42). <IMAGE>
