CONSTITUTION:When a tape cassette is inserted into a cassette holder 14, the front edge of a sliding cover comes into contact with a projection 17 for releasing sliding cover, and the sliding cover is kept in perfectly released state. A pinion 24 engages with an L-shaped rack 27, and when it comes to the corner part of L-shape, a roller 40 is guided to a groove hole 37, and the cassette holder starts falling together with the pinion 24. A turning cover is abutted with a turning cover releasing pin 33 during this shifting and pushed up, and released automatically. After using, the tape cassette can be taken out only by pushing up the cassette holder. At this time, the side of locked part of the sliding cover collides with a projection 19 for closing slide cover and its moving is checked, and discharged in the state of perfect closing.
