Polymer mixtures free from plasticizers comprise an after-chlorinated vinyl chloride polymer containing up to 67 % chlorine and a substantially equal amount of at least one polymer of an ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid with a C 1 -C 5 aliphatic alcohol or a mixed polymer of such esters. Specified ester polymers are homopolymers of ethyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate and copolymers of ethyl acrylate with esters of methacrylic acid and C 1 -C 4 alcohols. The mixtures may be moulded or dissolved in ethyl or benzyl acetate, acetone, dimethylformamide or bromobenzene for use as lacquers or adhesives or to cast foils and films.
