PURPOSE:To improve the flatness of a finished surface by providing an air nozzle on the front side or the front and rear sides in the advance direction of a work against an axial core of an electrode rod in the base part of a tool to which the electrode rod has been attached, and blowing an injection air flow from the nozzle, to the tip part of the electrode rod. CONSTITUTION:When bringing a working allowance of a work 1 to blasting working by an automatic blasting tool 2, air flows 6A, 6B are injected out of air nozzles 5A, 5B, a metal which has been melted by an arc heat is blown away and the surface is shaped. The air nozzles 5A, 5B turn an air nozzle axial core to the inside by a prescribed angle so that a carbon electrode 3 can be air-cooled. According to this mechanism, the finished surface can be flattened, also a temperature rise of the carbon electrode is suppressed, and the work efficiency can be improved.
