The two stroke cycle engine is characterized in that the intake and exhaust timing members are valves (7, 9), their control means responding to a parameter such as the rotational speed of the engine, the fuel consumption, the supercharging pressure value, the difference between the intake pressure and the exhaust pressure, in order to vary the angular position of the opening and closing of the valves (7, 9) in order to allow the introduction of a sufficient amount of fresh air into the working chamber, at the least favorable number of revolutions per minute, particularly by opening the intake during a period of increase of volume of the chamber. |
