The problem in analog-digital conversion is that, even if the input signal only fluctuates slightly, the digital value changes continuously. In the invention which is presented here, a constant digital value is achieved by carrying out a plurality of analog-digital conversion processes, in each case overlaying a supplementary signal (UZ), which is changed in steps from one conversion process to the next, on the input signal (UE). The average value of the supplementary signals is subtracted from the average value of the digital values generated in the conversion processes. The result of the subtraction is output as the result of the analog-digital conversion. The main application area of the invention is analog-digital converters with displays. <IMAGE> |
