PURPOSE:To make tire chain automatically changeable during car driving, by setting an automatic tire chain setting device and a tire chain box to the outside of each drum in driving wheels of an automobile in the shape of sandwiching a wheel. CONSTITUTION:When the lever installed in a driver's seat is pulled toward yourself, the gear 1 attached to an axle shifts and an arm 2 rotates, therefore an actuator 3 operates so as to push a wire takeup ring 4 to the outside. In consequence, one end part of a release ring 5 connecting a ring 5 and a drum cover 6 is pushed down whereby they are separated from each other. And, a wire, passing through a hole of a cover 8 from a drum 7 and connected to the ring 4 by way of the outer circumferential side of a tire, is wound up, and with this wind, a chain is drawn out of the drum 7 and situated in a grounding surface of the tire. So, when the lever is restored, the cover 6 and each of these rings 4 and 5 are all rotated simultaneously by dint of the spring built in the cover 6, thus the chain is locked. |
