PURPOSE:To dispense with a crusher, etc., to continuously treat sanitary sewage without any periodical inspections of a screen, etc., and to filter the sanitary sewage by the screen without clogging by agitating and decomposing all the excrete in the sanitary sewage. CONSTITUTION:A fine-mesh screen 5 for filtering sanitary sewage is vertically provided and slightly inclined to the front, air is spouted from the lower part along the surface of the screen 5, and hence the screen 5 is never clogged. Meanwhile, since sanitary sewage is circulated in an agitated vessel 2 by ascend ing air bubbles, the excrete is finely decomposed. The excrete having higher sp.gr. is filtered by a fine-mesh bottom screen 12 to the lower side, collected, and sent to the succeeding concentration tank. A part of the air bubbles are recovered by an air bubble recovery plate 11 when the sanitary sewage is filtered and transferred to the succeeding SS settling tank 3. The filtered sani tary sewage is allowed to flow slowly toward the lower part of the SS settling tank 3 by a rectifying plate 10. Furthermore, undecomposable hair, etc., are easily removed by a fork. etc.
