摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of calculation for measuring the coordinates of the surface of an object by providing linear light projecting means and making the straight line connecting the optical centers of projected light with a TV camera parallel to the TV horizontal scanning line of television imaging means. CONSTITUTION:A light projector 4 projects a linear projection light 15 having a length in the direction of a TV vertical scanning line on the surface of an object 2. The linear light is further spatially scans in a TV horizontal scanning direction. A TV camera 1 images the surface of the object 2. The optical centers 8 and 9 of the projection light of the projector 4 and the camera 1, respectively, are set at a given space apart. Any elemental light beam 6 of the linear projection light 15 iis made parallel to horizontal scanning lines that form a TV image when the light beam 5 spatially and obliquely crosses a TV field of view. Thus, the coordinates of the surface of the object 2 can be easily measured by computing the coordinates of a line of pixels in a matrix pixel group forming a screen image within one field of a TV. Therefore, the three-dimensional coordinates of the surface of the object can be measured at high speed without the necessity of a special instrument.
