PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate measurement without generating deterioration, by molding a thermosetting resin around a metal pipe and, after curing, adhering a strain measuring gauge to the inside of the pipe to pull out the resin. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin 3 is molded around a metal pipe 1 and post-curing is performed to cure the resin 3. Thereafter, a strain measuring gauge 2 is adhered to the inside of the pipe 1 to pull out the resin and stress is calculated from the strain value generated at this time. As mentioned above, the adhesion of the strain measuring gauge 2 to the inside of the metal pipe 1 is performed after the molding of the resin and the measurement of contraction stress is performed by calculating expansion stress generated when the metal pipe 1 is pulled out from the strain measuring gauge 2. Herein, contraction stress and expansion stress are reverse in a direction but equal in an absolute value. By this method, because the stress measuring gauge 2 is not heated, deterioration is not generated and, as an adhesive, an instantaneous adhesive curing at ambient temp. can be used.
