<p>A computer system comprising two processors (P1, P2) to control the parameters of an internal combustion engine, in particular to adjust the digital controller of a Diesel injection pump. Both processors (P1, P2) share in normal operation the computing duties, and in the case of a breakdown each of the processors (P1; P2) can, acting as a stand-by computer, provide an emergency operating mode. Through greater redundancy and shared duties in normal operation it is possible to considerably increase safety and speed of operation.</p> |
