PURPOSE:To display a selected paper feed part without providing any special display device by providing a control means which displays a selected copying paper loading part by utilizing a numeric display means. CONSTITUTION:An upper, an intermediate, and a lower paper feed part are provided with switches 300-303, 304-307, and 308-311 for identifying the size of copy paper loaded in a paper feed unit 32 and cassette 25 and 26, and the paper feed unit and cassettes 25 and 26 are provided with 4-bit coding means corresponding to the switches. A CPU is connected to the key group on a console panel 50, a display part 52, and the switches 300-311, etc., for copy paper size identification through a decoder 351. When a paper selection key 82 is pressed, the paper feed part which is selected at this time is discriminate to pass the control over the selected paper feed part. Further, the size of copy paper is discriminated from the size code of a cassette or paper feed unit loaded at the paper feed part to which the control is transferred and then displayed, and a display corresponding to the selected paper feed part is made. |
