<p>Device for handling and more particularly but not exclusively for transporting and positioning in and/or around a tubular conduit any investigation, exploration, drilling or treatment apparatus. The device is characterized in that it is comprised of an assembly of cells (11) each comprising on the one end at least two motor means (9a, 9b, 9c) which are substantially similar and approximately parallel and distributed substantially uniformly about the longitudinal axis of said cell so as to make possible, according to the condition of said motor means (9), not only the extension and the retraction of the cell (11) along its longitudinal dimension but also the induction of an angular offset between the extreme platen planes (12, 13) and, on the other end, at least one locking and unlocking means (8) developing its action substantially radially to said cell.
