PURPOSE:To distill water without corroding the titled device by making the upper lid and an IR heater detachable from a box-type boiler to facilitate the cleaning of the inside of the boiler and forming all the wetted parts with a fluororesin. CONSTITUTION:A feed water port 1 and the inlet 2 and the outlet 3 of cooling water are provided on the upper lid 5 and a V-shaped cooling pipe 4 is furnished under the lid. In the boiler 12, an upper lid mounting flange 6 is provided at the upper part, IR heater mounting ports 7 and 7' are furnished on both sides, an overflow cock 8 and a liq. level monitoring small chamber 9 are provided, a water sampling funnel 10 is pierced from the inside to the lower part, and a drain cock 11 is furnished at the lower part. One or more than two IR heaters 18 are provided with a cooling fan M, a quartz tube 15 covered with a fluororesin tube 14, and a reflecting plate 16 and a heater 17 contained in the quartz tube. Besides, all the wetted parts of the device are made of a fluororesin. Consequently, even an alkaline soln. can be distilled without corroding the device.
