PHOTOCONDUCTOR FOR CONVERSION OF SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE

PURPOSE:To permit the radiation of the light radiated from a spot light source or linear light source from the surface of an approximately optional shape by providing slits to a light propagating means consisting of a light propagating member and reflecting members formed on both faces of the light propagating member. CONSTITUTION:The 1st reflecting member 2 and the 2nd reflecting member 3 are respectively fixed to both faces of the light propagating member 1. The light propagating member 1, the 1st reflecting member 2 and the 2nd reflecting member 3 constitute a photoconductor 10 for conversion of a surface light source. The plural slits 2A are provided in approximately parallel with the linear light source 4 to the 1st reflecting member 2. The slits 2A are so formed that the light propagating member 1 is exposed and that the exposing surface 9 of the light propagating member 1 has a light diffusing effect. The pitch P between the slits 2A is so set as to be made narrower the further from the linear light source 4. The light which is reflected from the linear light source 4 and propagates in the light propagating member 1 leaks from the slits 2A. Namely, the slits 2A act respectively as the linear light sources.
