PURPOSE:To stop and indicate the winding of yarn separated, by providing a yarn movement detector to correspond to the locus of traversing of the yarn to find out the winding of the yarn separated. CONSTITUTION:A yarn movement detector 12 is installed between a drum-shaped guide 6 and a drum 8. The detector 12 comprises electrodes 11, 11' in positions corresponding to the locus of traversing of doubled yarn 4. When the yarn 4 is moved near the electrodes 11, 11', electric charge is collected on the electrodes by that of the yarn to produce a yarn movement signal. When the doubled yarn 4 separates into signal yarns 2, 2' and they move over the electrodes 11, 11', the yarn movement detector 12 generates an abnormality signal to operate a cutter 13 to cut off the yarn and stop winding it. |
