PURPOSE:To make exclusive signal wirings unnecessary and facilitate the installation work of the titled equipment by a method wherein a communication signal for controlling a compressor or the like is transmitted and received by high-frequency superposition through electric power wirings connected between an indoor machine and an outdoor machine. CONSTITUTION:In a separate type air-conditioning machine, in which a compressor is controlled by an inverter, respective indoor side and outdoor side electric power wirings 8 are connected with electric power wiring superposition circuits 18, 19 respectively and a high-frequency superposing means, through which a communication signal for controlling is transmitted and received by said circuits 18, 19 and indoor and outdoor controllers 6, 7 through the electric power wirings 8, is constituted. The communication signal for controlling, based on an information inputted into the indoor side controller 6, is received by the outdoor side controller 7 through the superposition circuits 18, 19 and the electric power wirings 8. Accordingly, exclusive communication signal wirings may become unnecessary.
