PURPOSE:To permit the installation of an optical composite electric wire with an optical connector without troubles by housing an optical cable led out of the end of the electric wire and the optical connector at the front end thereof into a flexible cylindrical body having resistance to external pressure and exerting stringing tension to the electric wire by means of a traction fitting, flexible cylindrical body and gripper. CONSTITUTION:The flexible cylindrical body 17 which has the resistance to external pressure and tension and accommodates the electric wire from the end of an overhead earth wire 12 up to the optical connector 17 is constituted of a flexible cylindrical part 18 having the resistance to external pressure and a tension resistant member 19 coated on the outside circumference thereof. A stringing operation is executed by connecting a traction wire to the traction fitting 22. The stringing tension is transmitted to the overhead earth wire 12 via the traction fitting 22, terminal fitting 20, flexible cylindrical body 17, terminal fitting 23, connector 28 and winding grip 27 and therefore, no tension is exerted to the optical cable 13 and the optical connector 13 beyond the end of the overhead earth wire 12. The optical cable 13 beyond the end of the overhead earth wire 12 is made to have the length (for example, about 2m) equal to the leading-in length of the overhead earth wire based on the elongation thereof or above by predicting such length.
