PURPOSE:To interpolate correctly many errors in excess of error correction capability by correlated data by providing an interpolation of an error correcting circuit of a compact disc reproducing device reproducing a multiplexing signal separately to each signal section after multiple separation respectively. CONSTITUTION:An optical pickup section 1 reading a data from a compact disc, an error correction section 2, a multiplex separation section 3, an interpolation section 4 used when the error correction capability is exceeded and a processing section 5 for each signal are provided. Even when an error exceeding the error correcting capability takes place in a part A2, the error correction section 2 applies the error detection only and applies multiplex separation at first. Thus, series 15-17 having correlation appear, and in applying the interpolation afterward, the part A2 is replaced into data A1 having correlativity or a mean value of data A1 and A3.
