PURPOSE:To improve the face recording density while eliminating a guard band by recording a signal while the azimuth angle of adjacent tracks. CONSTITUTION:No guard band is provided among tracks 21, 22, 23...2n, adjacent tracks are connected directly and a different azimuth is applied to even/odd number racks. That is, the tracks 21, 23 have the same azimuth, but the track 22 inbetween has a different azimuth. Thus, no guard band is required between adjacent tracks, the number of tracks is increased by the share so as to improve the face density.
